The Hedgehog or the Egg

The Hedgehog or the Egg (which came first?) is a short Sonic the Hedgehog fanzine in the form of a Twine game. It is a series of vignettes and interactive experiences following many different iterations of Sonic the Hedgehog as he meets and comes in conflict with Dr. Robotnik, aka Eggman. Across the Sonic franchise, these two are always enemies, but their shared history has lent a kind of fondness to their interactions over time. Inspired by interviews that framed Eggman as a spin-off of a different concept proposed for Sega's mascot, this game explores their memories across many lives and deaths.
